Karen A. Sue, DDS
Dr. Sue was raised in Gardena. She completed her undergraduate education at the University of Southern California and obtained her Doctorate of Dental Surgery at USC School of Dentistry. Following dental school, Dr. Sue completed her pediatric residency and received her certificate in pediatric dentistry at USC School of Dentistry/Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles in 1988.
Following her residency, Dr. Sue served on the staff at the CHLA Dental Clinic as part of the dental faculty and joined Oak Park Dentistry for Children. In 2001, she opened the Newbury Park office, proudly serving the children of the community.
Dr. Sue is a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, California Society of Pediatric Dentistry, American Dental Association, California Dental Association, and American Student Dental Association.
Dr. Sue and her wonderful husband Curtis reside in Thousand Oaks, where she prioritizes time with her many nieces and nephew, as well as her three brothers. She works out on a daily basis and loves to travel, especially to Hawaii. One of the reasons she strives to stay fit as possible is due to the opportunity to try and enjoy many foods when traveling. At home, Dr. Sue seeks out and creates healthy recipes, a practice that started during the early part of the pandemic.
Lorraine Neri, DDS
Dr. Neri was born in Seoul, South Korea. Her family moved to Buenos Aires, Argentina, where she lived until her teen years. She received her BS in physiology from the University of California Davis and devoted a year to molecular biology research before entering the University of Southern California, School of Dentistry.
In 1998, she graduated with honors from USC and was inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon (OKU) Honor Dental Society. Dr. Neri practiced general dentistry for three years before deciding to seek specialized training in pediatric dentistry.
She completed her university and hospital-based pediatric residency at the USC and Children’s Hospital Los Angeles program in 2003 and was awarded the Outstanding Resident of the Year Award.
Dr. Neri is a member of the American Dental Association, the California Dental Association, the California Society of Pediatric Dentistry, and the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry.
Dr. Neri and her husband of nearly two decades have two wonderful children. Outside of dentistry, she keeps busy volunteering at her children’s schools and helping with various ministries at her church. As time allows, she enjoys cooking and spending time with family and friends.
Carla Abboud, DDS
Dr. Abboud moved to the U.S. from Paris in 1985 and grew up in Woodland Hills. She matriculated from The Buckley School to a six-year accelerated dental program at the University of Southern California. After completing two years of undergraduate studies at USC, Dr. Abboud obtained her bachelor’s degree in dental science.
She graduated from USC dental school in 2004 among the top ten students and was inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon (OKU) Honor Dental Society. Dr. Abboud then received training in pediatric dentistry at USC and Children’s Hospital Los Angeles.
Dr. Abboud is a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, California Society of Pediatric Dentistry, American Dental Association, California Dental Association, and San Fernando Valley Dental Association. Dr. Abboud is fluent in both Arabic and French.
When not practicing dentistry, Dr. Abboud enjoys spending time with family and friends. She and her husband love taking their three young children on new adventures, exploring the great outdoors hiking and camping, as well as discovering the world through travel. Favorite destinations include Guadeloupe in the French West Indies, Yosemite, and Lake Tahoe.
Stephanie Sue, DMD
Dr. Steph grew up in Thousand Oaks. She attended California Lutheran University, where she obtained a Bachelor of Science in biology with a minor in chemistry. She moved to Salt Lake City for dental school. Dr. Steph graduated from Roseman University of Health Sciences, School of Dentistry with her Doctorate of Dental Medicine.
After dental school, she relocated to Illinois, where she completed her pediatric residency at Ann & Robert Lurie Children’s Hospital. Following the residency and specialty training, she chose to return to Thousand Oaks to live in and serve a community she loves.
Dr. Steph is a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, Western Dental Society, and California Dental Society.
When not seeing to the needs of growing smiles, Dr. Steph treasures time with her family, including Mandy, her white Labrador. She enjoys working out on the Peloton and powerlifting, cooking and baking, bingeing Netflix, and reading mangas. Dr. Steph also loves traveling and rooting for her favorite sports teams. She’s a big fan of Angels baseball, Jets football, and Clippers basketball. Dr. Steph is also passionate about health and wellness, including mental health, along with recycling and women’s rights.
Dr. Steph is a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, Western Dental Society, California Dental Association, American Dental Association, and a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry.
